A weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life to the quietness of the country is healthy for everybody I believe. With that in mind we headed out for the weekend to a friends ranch in El Paso, WI.
Once we arrived we jumped on the four-wheelers and packed the essentials for the day, snowboards, beer, and matches. Starting our adventure we had to cross the Rush River and then wandered through the woods and sped through the cornfields to find the perfect spot to set up camp.
It was a nice February day, and with the fire burning it was perfect. The boys went onto snowboard, building a jump and getting creative with a log that they propped up behind the four-wheeler to gap to.
As the sun set we hiked up the hill to watch it disappear over the horizon, the moon was out and I remember listening to the snow crunch underneath our boots. I felt rejuvenated after this simple weekend of being outdoors.
